What do endangered species represent?

As in secular life, religionists recognise no barriers when committing atrocities. Whether against our fellow man or against the animal kingdom we ‘protect’, there are no depths to which humankind won’t sink in its desire to satisfy its greed for wealth and power.

In this story

Tiger killing monk

a Thai monk in his search to find his god, trades in tiger parts to aid his transcendental journey. This is more than sad, that a monk, someone who is supposedly seeking a ‘oneness’ with the universe, defiles himself in such a destructive way. What really annoys me is that nature, the animals, our planet, doesn’t belong to anyone. For our own good we must preserve what we have here, otherwise our future will be less wonderful and possibly barren of many large mammals, creatures that bring us so many psychological and material benefits.

I’m happy for people to have personal gods, just stay the fuck out of secular life and support the protection of our planet!

Holy make up anything you like

Read all about it, God’s representative on earth tries to convince his gullible flock that three children predicted world events by making them saints. Just how unbelievable does he want to make the Catholic cult? I thought he was on their side!
Make up whatever you like.

Sanders #Feel the Bern

With Bernie Sanders’ authentic voice leading corporate stooge Hillary Clinton in recent Iowa and New Hampshire polls, the mainstream, cable and printed press black outs on Sanders’ campaign are lifting. Sanders is also rapidly gaining on Clinton in Vermont, the state where he is governor. However, now that the blackout by Fox, CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, CBS, Huffington Post and The Washington Post etc. has inevitably begun to lift, their disbelief is compounded by their ignorance of the reason for his cream like rise to the top of this weeks political milk.

Sanders’ strength is that he isn’t ‘one of the others’, he isn’t bought and paid for by wealthy donors, he has financed his campaign from voter donations, small amounts from a large number of committed voters. They recognise the authenticity of Sanders’ ideology, he will break up the banks, he will strengthen the principle of health care for all, he will take on Wall St. and not be their lackey like Hillary Clinton, he will scrap tuition fees and introduce many more measures to make America a fairer society for all.

Despite Trumps’ appeal being similar to Sanders, in that he too is not one of the establishment, Trump appeals to a finite voting pool, the fearful, the greedy, the religious extremists, the racists, the nationalists and bigots. Sanders can continue to grow though, as the message spreads and news outlets can no longer ignore the fact that a Social Democrat is a serious candidate for the American Presidency.
Much as they would love to just bury him in an avalanche of negative allegations of communist leanings, impossible to finance schemes and if those don’t work, sleaze and corruption, the corporate media can’t. Bernie is a formidable, straight talking intellect, he answers questions and he is clean as a whistle.
I can only dream that Sanders will be the next President but at least, the genie is out of the bottle now and the corporate media and press have egg on their faces, once again.

Return to health? Life, painting follows.

For the first time in ages I’ve been able to do what I love doing most which is to paint, not a lot to ask you would think but everyday when your feet jump around remorselessly and mercilessly, you feel cold and tremble, you have no energy, long term health problems have stolen my usually irrepressible spirit and left me feeling a little depressed. Anyway some good news is that after months of self medicating and applying my own bandages, compresses etc. things seem to settling down neurologically and I’ve been at my easel trying to catch up on lost time.
Though not painting, I’ve been drawing and sketching ideas for next year and keeping an eye on the politicians who are most likely to get us into serious trouble. Trump and the G.O.P. seem to be at the head of this box of snakes but in England the Tories are hard at it trying to drag England back to a time before the second world war when the working class doffed their hats to their ‘betters’ and ‘knew their place’.
Along has come Jeremy Corbyn to throw a spanner into the works of this plan and the few who own England really don’t like him, as like Sanders in America he represents real change and an end to the plan. All the knives are drawn in the Tory media to finish him off quickly but much closer to home too, the Cuckoos (as I call them) in the Labour Party, the Tory eggs, cached there to surface on such an occasion are moving to finish Corbyn off and make it look at the same time like the natural machinations of the left.
The Cuckoos are the career politicians who see their bright futures dimmed by actually having to care about their constituents and do some real work, all this real politicking is getting in the way of things, an eventual solution to this may be the de-selection of the likes of Simon Danczuk and Jess Phillips or hopefully the forming of a new ‘progressive’ labour party minus the baggage of the Blairites, Yvette Cooper, Andy Burnham and the rest of their sour faced ilk. See if anyone votes for them in their own ‘elite’ party.
The political financial elite who own the media are going to do everything they can to fight this new push from progressives but they may this time have under-estimated the number of people who feel disenfranchised by politics and are waiting to join a movement that represents their progressive feelings. Progressives are essentially humanists where the state is secular and justice for all is paramount. The welfare state is the bedrock of a just and forward looking society, the N.H.S. provides the health care necessary to maintain the work force of this society and a revised education system elevates young minds to realise their potential, presently buried under the current system.
I hope Labour can rebuild under Corbyn as a progressive party where intellect and nuanced ideas are prominent in deciding how to create a just society that is inclusive for all, and in so doing build a new interest in politics and encourage the voter participate in shaping their own futures.
More important than that is that I see an improvement in my health and I can get back to painting as before, non-stop everyday – almost.

Why would any one have faith in this evil psycopath? It’s just man-made crap designed to control simple people.

It’s never a good idea to hit your parents unless they are particularly nasty and guess what in the time of the bible, they had the means to write that wrong.

Whoever strikes his father or mother shall be put to death. (Exodus 21:15 NAB)

Death for Cursing Parents
1) If one curses his father or mother, his lamp will go out at the coming of darkness. (Proverbs 20:20 NAB)
2) All who curse their father or mother must be put to death. They are guilty of a capital offense. (Leviticus 20:9 NLT)

Kill Brats
From there Elisha went up to Bethel. While he was on his way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him. “Go up baldhead,” they shouted, “go up baldhead!” The prophet turned and saw them, and he cursed them in the name of the Lord. Then two shebears came out of the woods and tore forty two of the children to pieces. (2 Kings 2:23-24 NAB)

Kill Sons of Sinners
Make ready to slaughter his sons for the guilt of their fathers; Lest they rise and posses the earth, and fill the breadth of the world with tyrants. (Isaiah 14:21 NAB)

God Will Kill Children
The glory of Israel will fly away like a bird, for your children will die at birth or perish in the womb or never even be conceived. Even if your children do survive to grow up, I will take them from you. It will be a terrible day when I turn away and leave you alone. I have watched Israel become as beautiful and pleasant as Tyre. But now Israel will bring out her children to be slaughtered.” O LORD, what should I request for your people? I will ask for wombs that don’t give birth and breasts that give no milk. The LORD says, “All their wickedness began at Gilgal; there I began to hate them. I will drive them from my land because of their evil actions. I will love them no more because all their leaders are rebels. The people of Israel are stricken. Their roots are dried up; they will bear no more fruit. And if they give birth, I will slaughter their beloved children.” (Hosea 9:11-16 NLT)

Kill Men, Women, and Children
“Then I heard the LORD say to the other men, “Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! Kill them all – old and young, girls and women and little children. But do not touch anyone with the mark. Begin your task right here at the Temple.” So they began by killing the seventy leaders. “Defile the Temple!” the LORD commanded. “Fill its courtyards with the bodies of those you kill! Go!” So they went throughout the city and did as they were told.” (Ezekiel 9:5-7 NLT)

God Kills all the First Born of Egypt
And at midnight the LORD killed all the firstborn sons in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn son of the captive in the dungeon. Even the firstborn of their livestock were killed. Pharaoh and his officials and all the people of Egypt woke up during the night, and loud wailing was heard throughout the land of Egypt. There was not a single house where someone had not died. (Exodus 12:29-30 NLT)

Kill Old Men and Young Women
“You are my battle-ax and sword,” says the LORD. “With you I will shatter nations and destroy many kingdoms. With you I will shatter armies, destroying the horse and rider, the chariot and charioteer. With you I will shatter men and women, old people and children, young men and maidens. With you I will shatter shepherds and flocks, farmers and oxen, captains and rulers. “As you watch, I will repay Babylon and the people of Babylonia for all the wrong they have done to my people in Jerusalem,” says the LORD. “Look, O mighty mountain, destroyer of the earth! I am your enemy,” says the LORD. “I will raise my fist against you, to roll you down from the heights. When I am finished, you will be nothing but a heap of rubble. You will be desolate forever. Even your stones will never again be used for building. You will be completely wiped out,” says the LORD. (Jeremiah 51:20-26)
(Note that after God promises the Israelites a victory against Babylon, the Israelites actually get their butts kicked by them in the next chapter. So much for an all-knowing and all-powerful God.)

God Will Kill the Children of Sinners
If even then you remain hostile toward me and refuse to obey, I will inflict you with seven more disasters for your sins. I will release wild animals that will kill your children and destroy your cattle, so your numbers will dwindle and your roads will be deserted. (Leviticus 26:21-22 NLT)

More Rape and Baby Killing
Anyone who is captured will be run through with a sword. Their little children will be dashed to death right before their eyes. Their homes will be sacked and their wives raped by the attacking hordes. For I will stir up the Medes against Babylon, and no amount of silver or gold will buy them off. The attacking armies will shoot down the young people with arrows. They will have no mercy on helpless babies and will show no compassion for the children. (Isaiah 13:15-18 NLT)

We could reach the stars but we are still slaves to our humble beginings

Following the massacre in Pakistan on 16.12.14 of at least 129 children and 20 adults by murderous apes masquerading as men, we should all sign this petition.

Education is the building block of our humanity, without it we are no more than ignorant primates, slaves to our humble beginings.

“Look again at that dot. That’s here. That’s home. That’s us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every “superstar,” every “supreme leader,” every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.

Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.

The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.

It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we’ve ever known.”
Carl Sagan, Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space

Little further needs to be added except to say the daily slaughter of innocents in the name of an imaginary god, (who is nothing more than a manifestation of gross superstition) is a vile abomination and an insult to what man is truly capable of.
